JCR Response to Covid-19 and the Return to College

Covid.jpg

Niamh and I have been working closely with college on the College Covid Rules. We have had many positive meetings with the discussions continuing into term; we have been assured that College are keen to relax these rules where they can as soon as possible.

I want to reassure everyone that we are actively keeping discussions open with college on this issue. The Covid-19 College Rules are a working document that is not fixed for the entire term, nor are they only amendable at the points in the term where a review is required.

Any problems you are facing please use these forms to let us know.

Niamh has also been coordinating the self isolation support system to ensure that all isolating students are well fed. I want to thank both Niamh and all the supporters who have helped deliver food and groceries, especially to the students at Leckhampton.

The university will be rolling out their asymptomatic testing starting on the 5th of October. I encourage everyone to take part so have as much information as possible regarding the health of the college and can keep transmission to a minimum.

I hope everyone is enjoying the last few days of the summer vacation and is looking forward to returning to college over the next few weeks.

Alex
